In this lesson we are looking at another lick with a focus on the bending technique. This lick is in the key of E minor and is played in a blues context. When practicing these bends always be sure to have a target pitch to use as a reference. You can always hear if your bend is out of pitch. To add a little more flavor to your bends, spice them up with a little bit of Vibrato at the top of the bend. Mastering bends will take quite a lot of practice, so be patient and willing to put time into it.

  • Lining up 3 fingers behind each other for that long bend will help you keep it there.
  • Make sure you don’t over- or under-bend.
  • Find some bending exercises to help strengthen your hands
